Season is running slower now and what an amazing season it was…; in november we hosted the KPWT world cup at Durobeach and the first fantastic edition of the Kiteshow. Pictures and videos you can find under , www.kite-show.com , www.kiteboardpro.com and youtube. We are very proud to be the host for such great events.

It allmost is getting boring, every single day wind, we are so incredibly spoiled, and raining season is supposed to start but bright sunshine keeps smiling up on us…Not a drip of rain has fallen and it just keeps on blowing, good to know for next season because it is beautifull and quiet this time of year . Paradise at its best…

Many of you spent the afternoons hanging out at the bar or maybe you tried out the food of our new restaurant , thank you all for your support and joining us day after day, the coming season we will be open till later at night for dinner and drinks, nothing crazy, but good enough to chill or chat over a nice dinner or a caipirinha.

In front of the hotel  on the beach there is a new relax area with chairs and beach beds, all under a nice shade of palm trees and Little huts, perfect for watching your friends that are  on the ocean, or to recharge batteries in between your sessions. If you don t kite it is the perfect place to just  lay back and relax.

Our apoligies for the webcam and weatherstation that are in maintenance but both will be back online shortly!

Dear friends,

The wind is back and blowing away the last showers that the rainy season brought with it. it is time to clean the dust of our kites and boards!
This year Durobeach is gonna be the place to be!!even more then the last seasons!!
As most of you know we had a very busy year, a lot of cool and nice guests to attend, and a lot of kiters hanging around waiting for their caipirinha or sandwich!
Well this year we are proudly opening the new restaurant and bar, which will be in our house next to the hotel. Fast and healthy super delicious cuisine, juices and cocktails, chill out music and videos. This is the new Durobeach Bar!!
We count on your presence for the atmosfere!!
The chill out and sunning - relax area for the hotel has been improved with new hammacks and private lounge area. we are also opening a brandnew kiteshop next to the house, and the Durobeach kite school will have a new office in able to assist all kiters with extra energy and manpower!
Let the 20knots kick in!!!

7th august 2008:
Looks like you don t give us time to write in this blog, we were so busy unfortunatelly a lot of people that wanted to book their room or class the last minute had to be sent elsewhere. Sorry for that!

The KPWT world tour 2008 kiteboarding is going to take place in Cumbuco from the 15th till the 21st of september only a few hundred meters upwind from Durobeach. Prepare the cameras and get all excited because this time it is gonna be even more hardcore then last year. Windstatistics predict at least 5 more knots then last years worldcup so we want to see some sick moves allright!!

28th june 2008:
Durobeach kitecenter is back open after a small metamorphose:  we gladly wellcome back our friend Gabriel who is in charge of the kiteschool ! As allways they work with brand new 2008 gear for the school and rentals.

the wind is definately back, the last weeks has been great, just in the morning still abit offshore wind, today we went high!! peakes of 33knots did the adrenaline flow! Our brand new schoolkites proofed their best! even with violent gusts the students were totally in control and at ease! congrats!!

27th march: It rains once and a while, in between good rides and perfect to relax and sunbath...

20 february: it is quiet after carnaval, but good waves+wind and less people then normal makes you feel the luckiest person on earth enjoying paradise at full.

24 december: Merry christmas to all, after 1 week with lighter wind beginning december the wind picked up again, latest days great for 9m and big waves!!amazing time for downwinders! lucky those who still got a flight for the christmas holidays!

16 november: Another kite championship is held in Cumbuco this weekend. we still have steady 20knots blowing over the ocean so perfect conditions!! Cumbuco is busier then ever but hey what s the problem... so much space and wind to catch this place will never be too crowded..this yes.. for next year november,better make you reservation in august...!!

26 september: Today was another amazing day with flat water and 30 knots...one week till the worldcup cumbuco!!

yesterday 25 september we had an epic latenight full moon session in front of durobeach. the wind picked up till 28 knots and the water was flat like a mirror, glitters of neon jumping of the boards.. full moon kiting, what a blast! we only missed Damian cause he can t ride untill he has recovered from his earinjury...come tonight again and bring lightsticks to hook them on your kite!! after that: full moon party on the beach!

23 september: Kevin wins the pkra brazil!! congrats dude!!

Kevin langeree and his sister jalou are staying with us! training hard for the parnaiba worldcup! kevin can still win the overall competition if he wins in brazil and chile, thumbs up for kevin and jalou! http://www.kevinlangeree.com/f_index.html

The pro riders are in Cumbuco again, pkra is just finished in parnaiba so everybody comes down to the mekka of Brazil kiteboarding: Cumbuco. The kpwt will be next week!!! in front of us!! except the wave competition will be a bit downwind towards the lagoon!
